Baltimore and Annapolis by Canaan Ng

During my 4 months in Philly, I decided not to go to Washington DC since I had been there with my family before when I was little. I decided to go to Baltimore and Annapolis, two cities I have never been. I only had one day in Baltimore and spent most of it at The National Aquarium. Saw lots of beautiful ocean life and even watched a few dolphin shows. I also observed lots of wild children in their natural habit with their anxious and loving parents following them around. After Baltimore, I was able to visit my friend's hometown, Annapolis. When she first told me where she was from, and I searched up the photos, I knew I wanted to go visit to see the fall colours. I am so glad I did make it there. Annapolis had a very colonial feel with all the red brick buildings and I was able to try some delicious Crab cake burgers.

Fall Time in Philly by Canaan Ng

Last fall I got to explore philly and take in the rich colours of fall. I got to visit the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania (large garden with beautiful landscapes), Ridley Park where I got to take a nice sunday evening stroll with friends From Tenth Presbyterian, and West Fairmount Park and Belmont Plateau. Here are a few pictures I tried capturing the colours of fall!

NYC through my Eyes by Canaan Ng

Last October, while I was in Philly, I got a chance to do a day trip to New York City. Besides singing Frank Sinatra "New York New York", I was able to walk around NYC and Central Park and take some pictures. I really like New York because there is so much to see and do. Here are some of my favourites from the day.

New Place, New Friends: Grafitti Pier by Canaan Ng

Back in October, I was able to convince a few new friends from my church here in Philly to check out the Grafitti Pier with me. It was fun to go out and take some pictures in a new environment with new friends. I found out when you ask someone to pose for pictures, their character and personality really shines through. Either they are very energetic and dynamic, serious or slightly shy or just epically cool. A photograph can capture more than a face, it can capture emotion, personality and I truly believe it is an art. It is an art I am still trying to learn and explore but it is such a fun medium to play with especially when photographing friends and exploring!
