A beautiful wedding ceremony with family and friends and the Three Sisters Mountains in the backdrop with EEOR and Haling in the distance as well. So glad the weather held up and the sun was shining during the ceremony!

Back when we could travel: London trip 2019 /
I swear I still take photos. Lots of life changes in the last two years that lead to a different amount of shooting and time to post stuff. I’ve learned a lot from my wife about not posting everything onto social media and just living life. I’ve also been busy fighting GAS (gear acquisition syndrome). It’s a real thing. Look it up. For my trip in London, England last October, I traveled light with a Fujifilm XT-2, with kit lens 18-55mm f2.8-4 and my sony rx100 mkiii (for those selfies! and ninja photos). Here is a selection of my favorite pictures from London. My ideal vacation is to walk around a new place and looking to capture beautiful images. There is something about being in a different place, and capturing the things you see and experience. I wanted to share these images so you can see some of the things that drew my attention. Some were because of beautiful lighting, some were because of my nerdiness, some are from beautiful architecture, some were because there was a person standing in the right place.
Engagement session at Reader Rock Garden /
First time shooting in Reader Rock Garden. I really like how there is range of backgrounds and landscape to work with. From bridges to blossoms, to benches and cafe building and just greenery of a garden. It is a wonderful location for photos if you love greenery and flowers and a nice warm garden feel.
Carmen and Scott Engagement! /
I met Carmen while on internship in Switzerland. It is amazing that I have the opportunity to shoot her and Scott’s engagement photos and can’t wait to shoot the wedding next summer. I would say we hit the jackpot with lighting that evening. Can you guess which one loves being in front of the camera? Hope you enjoy this set of beautiful sunset photos in Calgary.
Additional Note: If you’re looking for a photographer to tell you how to pose and direct every step, I’m not the guy for your photos. I can give suggestions and make sure you have a portrait or two together but what I hope to do is to capture the relationship, and the natural way you guys (couples, families, etc) look at each other and interact with each other. I also want my clients to be involved in the creative process. Everyone knows what type of photos they like, and half of it is working with them to create the images they want.
